Yep the Mustang (not the new one) is gone...excuse me while I do a happy dance...this means that carpet is lined up and will be installed the in two weeks and by the end of July my children will have their own rooms. For Cole that is nothing new, but for the girls who have never had their own rooms, I wonder if they are going to love it or hate it?
I think that once we set up the rules of being in each others rooms, etc. it will...sigh...who am I kidding.
Anyway, the house is beginning to come together. The list is still long but at least we can now use more of the house than we have been able to before. I'm not sure if being able to finally spread out is good for our having to move or not. Hopefully we'll be able to get rid of some stuff, before we make the trek to Yakima.
It's raining again, and it's been green and beautiful, but it means the kids have been cooped-up, and we are all getting stir crazy. We are all excited for Kira's birthday party on Saturday.

Happy Birthday to ME...Kira
Today I am 9. I feel like I am older, and can do whatever I want, but Mommy won't let me. My birthday party is going to be on the 10th at the bowling alley. I am excited and I hope I get a lot of presents, especially Percy Jackson and the Olympians on DVD. But more than anything I am excited to go to dinner with my family at Space Aliens.
I have been having fun this summer, I was in a play this summer called Aladdin Jr. I had a great experience. I got to hold a life-size anaconda (stuffed animal)and sing some great songs. I made new friends and liked doing it. I really want to do it again.
I also spent a week helping out at VBS, and I had a really neat time. Even Cole got to go. I can't wait until next year, for the next VBS.
I have to go help my sister with her Dora doll, so I will say good-bye...for now.

Why a blog?
What to say... We are leaving the Air Force.
Why? Well, lots of reasons, but the biggest one is 'our children'. Keith and I have been married for 10 yrs and as we talked about future for the next 10 yrs., the one thing that kept coming to the forefront was a solid, safe place to raise our children, and time with them. With Kira about to enter 4th grade we felt now was the right time.
Where? We are going to Yakima, WA to be the next generation to take up orcharding (growing apples, pears, and cherries). Going into the family business. Well, I will be teaching, but offering my input (gently and kindly :)
When? We don't know exactly when we will leave, but we are heading out. Keith has been having some health issues and so we need to have that squared away before he can separate. Due to my job requirements it will be either January or May...and at this point it is a coin toss.
So What Now? Great question. This blog really is for me to stay in touch and inform those who want to know and are interested. Facebook is great, but this way if you just want the 'big' stuff, you don't have to follow us here. My feelings will not be hurt if you're not up to following us here, but if you have questions your answers will probably be answered here. I will also leave pics of our progress on the house (gotta sell it).
OK, and pictures of the kids and all the other craziness our lives take on. Kira may even blog here too, as she really wants to be a reporter.
